Emotional Decisions

Soooo, the big CRUSH.  No problem at all, it's cool and gravy because it is a part of life; beyond normal. It's like this heartfelt emotion that we develop when we realize that we enjoy being around a certain individual. We like their personality, sense of humour, or just their appearance.

Sure we all like people who are nice, sweet, charming, and funny. Doesn't always stay that way huh. Things change, situations change, people change. Oh, and the decisions we made during those times follows. Everything "changes", but the decision "follows". Why can't the decision change too? Probably because we can't go on ebay to purchase a time machine. Sucks.
Decisions based on emotions are an unstable move.

Ohk, SCENARIO: You see a tall beautiful tree bearing sweet looking fruits. The shade is enjoyable, you kick back, probably had a lemonade or two. You've built a treehouse thinking you'lle be there for a while. There's a sturdy looking branch. You know you shouldn't go out on it, but you still do. You make up reasons; the fruits on that branch might be sweeter, there might be a better view, or it will only be once. So you go "out on a limb".....literally.
Then what happens? In most cases, change happens. The branch feels like it's about to give in, a gust of wind starts blowing from nowhere, or you misplaced your footing.

Why don't we think about the things we do? Well we do but we mostly make decisions based on our emotions. "He's nice, sweet, and texts me all the time." "She's hot, cool, and always asks about me." So we base our decision on the emotion we're feeling NOW.  Yep, our emotions could change as fast as you read this sentence.

That is why decision making should also involve using our brain. It deserves to be part of the meeting since it does takes place in our head (where the brain resides).

Realize I didn't use the word "love"...hmmmm....another topic, another time ;)
