Realized that holding back your desires to do things that we're great at deprives the world of some great moments. I mean, they're some amazing God-given gifts that are just waiting to be let out of that cork bottle stored up in our cupboards. Our gifts are not for ourselves alone, they're for others. Why have a sweet, honey-dripping voice if you don't share it to uplift souls who need a song ? Why have great dancing skills if you dont dance to uplift souls who need encouragement? Why have a wonderful writing hand if you don't write words of wisdom and life to souls that are inwardly dying?
We would only have a true changing effect on people when we come to realize that we are to serve others with the gifts we are blessed with. I believe that we are to give God glory in these gifts, after all He is the one who gave them to us (1 Corinth. 7:7). Lets not show off now..lets show God, show how great and marvelous He is, and drawing lost souls to His love with the gifts he gave us.
